Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated SMT Lab Associate to support our client in the field of laboratory testing. This role is essential for diagnosing various animal health issues and ensuring the smooth operation of lab activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct laboratory tests to assist in diagnosing illnesses, injuries, and diseases in animals.
  • Process specimens and perform a variety of laboratory tasks.
  • Manage lab inventory, including procuring supplies and maintaining stock levels.
  • Facilitate the movement of samples within the lab and ensure analyzers are loaded correctly.
  • Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.
  • Support various processes, systems, and databases related to lab operations.
  • Perform recordkeeping and data collection accurately.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as answering calls, preparing deliveries, and managing requisitions.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • The ability to read and interpret safety documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical instructions.
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Initiative and a commitment to follow through on tasks.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A high level of customer service orientation.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with SAP is preferred.


Physical Requirements:

Candidates must meet the physical demands of the role, which may include transporting hazardous materials and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
