Mammography Tech Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Tech to join our team at Covenant Health (Tennessee). As a Mammography Tech, you will be responsible for performing mammographic procedures, applying proper ionizing radiation, and obtaining high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mammographic procedures, including positioning, compression, and processing techniques
  • Verify informed consent and assist licensed independent practitioners with interventional procedures
  • Provide patient education and support, ensuring patient comfort and cooperation
  • Document patient information, including clinical history and radiopaque markers
  • Respond to patient questions and provide information on BSE, ACS guidelines, and breast imaging procedures
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring proper function and safety
  • Participate in quality control tests and maintain compliance with FDA regulations
Requirements:
  • ARRT (R) licensure and state licensure in accordance with Tennessee guidelines
  • Minimum of two years diagnostic imaging experience, including experience in mammography and breast anatomy
  • CPR certification
