Primary Care Nurse Specialist

Nurse practitioners play a crucial role in primary care, working with patients to prevent and manage illnesses. As an Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse, you will work with patients to understand their unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, providing comprehensive nursing care throughout the lifespan.
The journey to becoming a successful nurse practitioner involves education, training, and experience. You must have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing treatment strategies. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $72,000 - $114,000. This includes a base pay range of $37.93 - $60.04 per hour, with additional compensation opportunities available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed as a nurse practitioner, you must possess a graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution. You should have a strong background in nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you must be licensed as a registered nurse in Oregon and hold a National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association. At least 18 months of professional nursing experience is required for this role.
