As a Senior Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer, you will partner with our talented creatives, designers, and engineers to drive innovation in the creative sector in ways that are uniquely Apple.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in computer vision and machine learning, demonstrate a commitment to sustainable software development, and have the ability to guide features from initial concept through to successful delivery.
Key Qualifications:- Profound knowledge in the principles and practices of computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning methodologies.
- Proven experience in delivering products within the realms of Computer Vision, Computational Photography, Multimodal-LLMs/Foundation models, Generative AI, and Machine Learning or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in training, evaluating, and deploying multimodal large language models or foundational models and/or diffusion models.
- Familiarity with RLHF-based large model training.
- Experience in implementing parameter-efficient fine-tuning techniques such as p-tuning, adaptors, LoRA, etc., to enhance multimodal LLM reasoning and predictions.
- Experience in optimizing models and algorithms for efficient operation on resource-constrained platforms is advantageous.
- A strong record of patents and publications at leading conferences is a plus.
- Experience in delivering high-quality software at scale.
- Proficient programming skills in Python and/or C++ along with expertise in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Familiarity with Core ML, Swift, and iOS/macOS machine learning development is beneficial.- Ability to creatively solve everyday challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with partner teams.

Education & Experience:
PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related discipline, with 4+ years of substantial industry experience in delivering products utilizing state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning technologies. Alternatively, an MS degree with a proven track record of comparable industry experience to a PhD is acceptable.
Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth and development within the role.
The base pay range for this position is between $175,800 and $312,200, with actual base pay dependent on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
