About the Role

As a Data Center Regional Mechanical Engineer at Amazon, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers. Your expertise in mechanical engineering will be instrumental in designing, constructing, and maintaining our data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement mechanical systems for data centers, including cooling systems, power distribution units, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data center operations meet the highest standards of safety, security, and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve data center performance, reliability, and sustainability.
  • Work closely with the data center operations team to identify and resolve issues related to mechanical systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders on data center mechanical systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data center operations, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including cooling systems, power distribution units, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with data center design, construction, and maintenance, including knowledge of building codes and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with data center design software, such as Autodesk Revit or SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of data center operations and maintenance, including experience with EPMS/SCADA/BMS controls systems.
  • Experience with project management and leadership, including the ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
