Job Summary:We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for our Oncology department in Dallas, Texas. As a NP, you will work as a licensed professional and use your clinical judgment to oversee patient care by the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will involve assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses for health issues, and developing personalized care plans.
You will also assess patient responses regularly and contribute to decision-making to ensure quality and effectiveness in patient care. Your professionalism enhances nursing practice and work environment, contributing to recognition of others' contributions meaningfully.
What You'll Do:- Use careful clinical judgment to prioritize patient needs and create and adjust care plans for better results.
- Audit your nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness, tracking indicators, making changes based on research, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Teach patients and staff, integrating education into care at all levels.
- In systems thinking, use strategies and resources to solve problems for patients, families, and staff.
- An in-depth understanding of nursing as well as patient care standards and procedures.
- Familiarity with departmental policies and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking to address problems and monitor patients' health, communicating changes efficiently to nursing staff and healthcare providers.
