The University of Missouri School of Medicine & MU Health Care is in search of a distinguished transplant surgeon to spearhead and expand the only Kidney Transplant program in central Missouri, catering primarily to a rural patient demographic.

Responsibilities:
This role includes educational duties for residents in general and urologic surgery, as well as medical students. There are numerous opportunities for clinical, translational, and fundamental research through the MU Surgical Center for Outcomes Research & Effectiveness (MUSCORE) and the Nextgen Precision Health Center, which are well-equipped and offer substantial growth potential. Besides transplant duties, the surgeon will be expected to contribute to the overarching goals of the Department of Surgery.

Essential Qualifications:
- MD, MD/PhD, or DO
- Completion of a General or Urologic Surgery Residency
- Fellowship from an ASTS accredited transplant program
- UNOS-certified or eligible as a Primary Surgeon
- Eligibility for state medical licensure

Preferred Skills:
Experience in non-transplant hepatobiliary surgery is highly valued.
