Job Title: Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating an inclusive learning environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with the district's Individualized Student Services Team to develop and implement special education service delivery models. You will serve as a resource for special education staff, providing guidance on evidence-based instructional practices and targeted professional development. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the district team to design and implement special education programs
  • Providing coaching and support to special education staff on instructional strategies and best practices
  • Fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect in the classroom and school community
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student
  • Building relationships with students, families, and staff to create a sense of community and support
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Minnesota special education teaching license(s)
  • Highly qualified in a core academic area(s) or certified highly qualified
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to equity and inclusion in education
