As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory costs and providing cost analysis to support operations and sales.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze manufacturing activities and investigate variances and anomalies to ensure accurate inventory costing.
- Develop and maintain product estimating processes to support accurate pricing for standard, custom, and developing products.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Marketing on estimating/pricing and cost reduction projects.
- Prepare month-end journal entries that relate to inventory.
- Manage local budgeting and forecasting tasks.
- Develop and analyze cost center financial reports.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in financial or relevant business disciplines with strong experience in cost accounting in a discreet manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting concepts.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Keen attention to detail and an ability to understand concepts more broadly and strategically.
