Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and inviting environment for our residents, guests, and team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain day-to-day housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure a high level of quality and cleanliness.
  • Directly supervise and assist housekeeping and laundry team members to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Perform hands-on housekeeping and laundry tasks as needed to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient operation.
Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience in housekeeping and laundry operations, preferably in assisted living, full-service, skilled nursing, and/or hospitality industries.
  • Supervisory/management experience preferred, including supervising and responsibility of shift/daily operations.
  • High School diploma/GED accepted.
  • Ability to train team members on housekeeping and laundry tasks according to Sunrise quality service standards.
  • Desire to work with seniors.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations.
  • Competent in organizational, time management skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
