General Summary: The Sales Associate will support the receiving, stocking, and pricing of all merchandise while ensuring a clean and organized merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Customer Service:
  • Represent AgCentral Farmer's Co-op positively.
  • Proactively assist customers in resolving issues.
  • Greet customers upon entry and throughout their visit. Thank customers upon completion of their shopping.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor; collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ensure all inquiries and calls are addressed promptly and courteously.
  • Direct any customer complaints that cannot be resolved to a management team member.
  • Possess strong product knowledge and familiarity with store layout and product locations.
  • Provide personalized service to customers throughout the store, aiming to exceed their expectations.

Store Operations:
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and safe working environment.
  • Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise throughout the store.
  • Help maintain appropriate back stock levels.
  • Support daily maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor merchandise area.
  • Ensure a clean and orderly sales floor, including promotional displays and featured merchandise.
  • Assist with merchandise resets throughout the store.
  • Provide support to Department Specialists, including price adjustments and special orders.
  • Ensure that signage is current throughout the store.
  • Operate a forklift with proper training.
  • Communicate any Store Support Center issues to the General Manager for follow-up.
  • Share any merchandising, cost control, or sales ideas with the General Manager.
  • Participate in store meetings.
  • Maintain professionalism in appearance and conduct.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Other Essential Requirements: Must be able to work 40+ hours per week. Education/Training: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Previous retail experience preferred. Hardware/Maintenance experience is a plus.
Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and climbing are required.

Requirements:
Retail Experience

Hardware Experience: Knowledge of animal vaccination schedules and different types of vaccines, as well as the ability to learn about cattle handling equipment is desirable.
