Outpatient Cath Lab Tech FT Days Position Summary

As a skilled and dedicated Outpatient Cath Lab Tech, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and technical support in our Cardiac Cath Laboratory. Your expertise will be essential in assisting physicians during invasive and non-invasive procedures, ensuring the safe and effective operation of equipment, and maintaining aseptic technique throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the cleanup of the procedure room, including the disposal of used supplies, handling of instruments, and restocking of supplies.
  • Participate in the restocking, resupplying, and cleaning of the support areas.
  • Assist in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for procedures, providing clear explanations and verbal reassurances.
  • Set up and scrub for procedures in a timely manner, allowing patients to enter the room 5 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
  • Maintain aseptic technique when opening sterile supplies, setting up procedures, and during all invasive procedures.
  • Operate all imaging equipment safely and correctly, performing preventative maintenance as needed and ensuring proper functioning prior to, during, and after procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other team members to interpret data collected during procedures.
  • Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical errors.
  • Assure radiation safety and monitoring.
Requirements
  • Completion of formal two-year radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school, meeting requirements for registry by the ARRT or equivalent on-the-job training including a minimum of four months orientation.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration; current Arizona MRTBE license; current BLS.
  • Must attend EKG, Hemodynamics, IABP classes within four months of hire.
  • Preferred certifications include ARRT(CI), (VI), or ARRT (CV); ACLS.
