Job Overview:


The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients facing severe health challenges or complex conditions that necessitate advanced organ support and invasive monitoring techniques.

This role demands a high level of expertise, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making skills to manage patients with the most acute medical needs.

The ICU nurse will be proficient in handling a diverse array of patient conditions, including but not limited to overdose cases, post-operative recovery, trauma incidents, and chronic illnesses.


Qualifications:

Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications are required.

A minimum of 1 year of experience in an ICU setting is necessary.

Essential Skills:

Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly EPIC.

Position Details:
ICU STAT RN - Night Shifts & Every Other Weekend - 36 hours per week.

Unit Information:
Our ICU comprises 20 beds dedicated to Medical/Surgical care.

We cater to a broad spectrum of adult patients with conditions such as Sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, and cardiogenic shock.

Medical professionals, including attendings and residents, are available in the ICU around the clock.

Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience as an ICU RN is required.

Patient Care Ratio:
1:2 or 1:1 for high-acuity cases.

Patient Demographics:
All adult patients.

Bed Capacity:
20 beds.

EMR System:
EPIC

Floating Policy:
Traveling nurses may be required to float to other units as necessary.

Shift Requirements:
Day shift rotations may include 11a-11p, 3p-3a, or 7p-7a shifts as needed. Night shifts are fixed.

Mandatory Certifications:
Active RN License, BLS, ACLS.

Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Basic Life Support
