Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervising SLP in delivering speech and language therapy to students, ensuring a comprehensive and individualized approach to meet the needs of each student.
  • Implement therapy activities and strategies outlined in treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing regular updates to the supervising SLP and contributing to the development of data-driven treatment plans.
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging environment that promotes student engagement, motivation, and success, fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field, with a strong foundation in communication sciences and disorders.
  • Current SLPA license in the state of employment, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but not mandatory; a passion for working with students and a strong desire to make a positive impact are essential.
