Job Title: Senior Professional Liability Claims Examiner

The Jonus Group is seeking an experienced Senior Professional Liability Claims Examiner to join our team. As a Senior Professional Liability Claims Examiner, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into professional liability-related claims, evaluating the validity of claims, and determining appropriate settlements based on policy coverage, liability, and damages.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations into professional liability-related claims, interviews with involved parties, and reviewing project documentation.
  • Evaluate the validity of claims and determine appropriate settlements based on policy coverage, liability, and damages.
  • Negotiate settlements with contractors, policyholders, and other stakeholders, ensuring fair and equitable resolutions.
  • Work closely with contractors, engineers, legal professionals, and policyholders to facilitate claim resolutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or relevant education/experience; J.D. preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience handling professional liability claims such as D&O, Legal, Medical Malpractice, EPLI, among others.
  • Must be willing to commute into the office in Hartford, CT.
  • The adjuster should have good technology skills and be proficient in Word and Excel.
Compensation:
  • $110,000 - $150,000/year (based on experience).
  • Annual bonus potential.
