Job Summary:As a Cardiac Sonographer at Saint Joseph Health System, you will play a vital role in producing high-quality echocardiograms to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of heart-related conditions.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for operating ultrasound diagnostic equipment, completing patient charts, and preparing charts for physician review. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate ultrasound diagnostic equipment to produce high-quality echocardiograms
  • Complete patient charts and prepare charts for physician review
  • Assist physicians during transesophageal and stress echo procedures
  • Measure and record different dimensions of the heart structures according to established procedures

Requirements:

  • Completion of two/three years of occupationally specific education beyond high school in radiologic technology, sonography, or related education
  • ARRT, ARDMS, RDCS, RCVT, RVT, or equivalent certification, or Registry eligible
  • CPR certification
