Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Case Manager Intern. As a member of our mission-driven team, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients and contributing to our agency's goal of ending poverty in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to case management staff to assist refugees in their journey toward early self-sufficiency and cultural integration.
  • Provide direct support to clients by assisting with appointments, including doctor's appointments, public benefits offices, and job interviews.
  • Ensure professional service delivery by working in collaboration with case management to provide timely case management support, documentation, and communication with clients.
  • Focus on motivation, support, and empowerment of clients along their path to self-sufficiency.
  • Collaborate with case management staff to facilitate service delivery to clients.
  • Support the data and evaluative needs of the program by ensuring proper, accurate, and timely documentation.
  • Communicate client/case observations and concerns to case managers.
  • Advocate for clients at service providers or agencies, and in the community.
  • Adhere to policies related to boundaries with clients.
  • Review and implement new policies related to service delivery.
  • Continually explore training opportunities to increase our skill set.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams within the agency to support the overall goals of CCFW.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be currently enrolled in a college program. BSW student preferred.
  • Bilingual in a current refugee language preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a current Texas driver's license.
