Your Role

We are on the lookout for a skilled Senior Java Engineer to become part of our dynamic technology team, focusing on a pivotal regulatory initiative within the investment banking sector. The ideal candidate will have robust technical expertise in Java, a thorough understanding of object-oriented design principles, and experience with essential frameworks and technologies for developing modern, compliant financial applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Java applications crucial for regulatory functions in investment banking.

  • Utilize Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate to construct resilient backend services.
  • Collaborate with web development frameworks (Angular or React) to create user-friendly and compliant interfaces.
  • Integrate with distributed storage systems (DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB) to ensure data consistency and scalability.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git to enhance development and deployment workflows.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop features that comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Enhance the performance of existing software, ensuring all systems align with regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to peers and junior developers.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and best practices in the investment banking regulatory landscape.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in Java development, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like AngularJS or ReactJS is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed storage systems including DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments is essential.
  • Familiarity with the investment banking sector, particularly in regulatory projects, is a plus.
