Grocery Clerk

Job Summary:

As a Fresh Food Associate at Walmart, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring high-quality products are available in deli, bakery, meat, and other departments. Your duties will include packing ready-to-sell products in proper containers, stocking displays, preparing and serving ready-to-eat food, and assisting customers with ordering cakes and fulfilling deli orders. You will also be responsible for maintaining temperature control, verifying dates, and disposing of lesser-quality food products. Additionally, you will keep the area and shelves clean, sanitized, and customer-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service and help customers find the products they are looking for
Ensure high-quality products are available in deli, bakery, meat, and other departments
Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays
Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food
Assist customers with ordering cakes and fulfilling deli orders
Maintain temperature control, verify dates, and dispose of lesser-quality food products
Keep area and shelves clean, sanitized, and customer-ready

Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a cash register
