Material Handler

Job Summary

The Material Handlers for our facility are responsible for on/offloading products. This role is perfect for an individual who approaches their work professionally, loves to be a part of a team, and wants to help us get better every day.

This is a Union, hourly paid position with exceptional health benefits and minimal employee contributions. We hire motivated individuals who want to grow with us and have an incredible track record of promoting from within at our facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Move glass sheets from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates
• Safely operate dollies, cranes, pallet jacks, glass cutters, and other various equipment
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and defects to notify supervisors
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhere to all safety regulations

Job Highlights

• Starting wage $19/hour
• $800 sign on bonus

Qualifications

• Elementary English: speak/read/write to communicate well and read basic paperwork/labels
• Ability to work OT as needed
• Ability to work flexible schedule (Monday to Friday and Saturday as needed)

Physical Requirements

• Work inside a non-climate controlled production environment
• Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours a day
• Withstand moderate to high noise levels
• Plant facility subject to same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
• Excellent ability to lift/carry more than 75 pounds frequently. Frequent standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
