Job Summary

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) is seeking a skilled HVAC Specialist to join our team. As an HVAC Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and odor control equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and troubleshoot heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and odor control equipment using tools and instrumentation and techniques of the trade.
  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and odor control equipment according to vendor specifications.
  • Install duct work, hoods, ventilation devices, and assemblies using manual and powered tools.
  • Obtain necessary parts through established procedures.
  • Follow established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures and policies established by MWRA.
  • Operate motor vehicles, such as vans and pick-up trucks, to pick-up and deliver supplies and equipment to work sites.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of industrial HVAC & related equipment.
  • Valid Massachusetts Class D Operator's License.
  • Mass. Refrigeration License.
