About the Role

In this Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant position, you will join a team of dedicated healthcare professionals at AdventHealth Orlando. Our internationally renowned hospital specializes in life-saving medical treatments, preventative care, and pioneering research. As an APRN or PA-C in our Bariatric Surgery department, you will work under the supervision of physicians to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with surgeries such as Sleeve Gastrectomy, Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass, and bariatric surgery revisions.
  • Monitor patients' course of treatment, make referrals to other specialists as needed, and write orders in the recovery room.
  • Collaborate with physician supervisors to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing with RNFA Certification.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a first assist in bariatric surgery or general surgery.
  • Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license, ANCC, NCCPA certification, DEA license, BLS, and ACLS.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $140,000-$180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
