About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Fuels program, you will be responsible for supervising and participating in collaborative efforts to support the design, inspection, and repair of fixed aviation and ground fuel storage and dispensing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage engineering and design projects for fuel storage and dispensing systems, ensuring compliance with established criteria and specifications.
  • Develop and review engineering and design deliverables, including project specifications and systems repair/construction submittals.
  • Provide off-site management and support for on-site fuel system design, inspection, or repair/construction activities at multiple project locations concurrently.
  • Assist with business development and proposal preparation to support the growth of Tetra Tech's engineering services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience with engineering and design supporting the repair or construction of military fuel storage, handling, and dispensing systems.
  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Industry certifications from API, STI, or NACE are desirable.
  • Working knowledge of United Facilities Criteria, United Facility Guidance Specifications, and Standard Designs governing military fueling systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering support software such as AutoCAD, Caesar II, KyPipe or other surge analysis software.
  • Working knowledge of SpecsIntact, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
