Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and scale Meta's corporate infrastructure, focusing on the Linux environment.
  • Combine open-source and commercial technologies to create impactful services for the business.
  • Work in a heterogeneous environment with diverse operating systems and applications, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Apply modern engineering methodologies like infrastructure as code, Linux container orchestration, and software-defined storage to scale Meta's rapidly growing Enterprise infrastructure.
  • Find innovative ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger Meta infrastructure to solve problems for Enterprise customers.
  • Be the final escalation point for issues related to Enterprise Linux systems.
  • Develop scalable, automated, and well-documented systems, training others to take on operations.
Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of system administration experience working in a Linux environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in shell scripting.
  • 2+ years of experience coding in at least one of the following languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, or Go.
  • 2+ years of experience working with monitoring and configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef.
Compensation:

$107,000/year to $161,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
