We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Staffmark Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company-established OEE expectations and customer quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment
- Proactive in addressing unsafe conditions/inefficiencies on production equipment
- Process production equipment and maintain documentation to support process changes
- Perform standard and scheduled preventative maintenance tasks as outlined by the Maintenance Manager
- Evaluate operator checklist and comments prior to performing preventative maintenance to ensure all causes for production inefficiencies are addressed and corrected
- Ensure equipment is clean and in showroom condition after preventative maintenance is performed
- Perform changeovers with limited downtime
- Use proper power tool equipment needed to complete jobs in the shop safely
- Perform building maintenance as directed by management
- Support of equipment installation, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications
- Coordinate with the Production Manager as it relates to production equipment training and employee development while providing suggestions for training topics
- High School Diploma or GED/High School Certification (Technical School Certification preferred)
- 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience in plastics technology or a similar technical area
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Working knowledge of computer systems (including MS Office and SAP)
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong mechanical, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, time management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
- Ability to drive a forklift and achieve certification
- Flexible availability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends as business demands
- Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds
