Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Staffmark Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company-established OEE expectations and customer quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment
  • Proactive in addressing unsafe conditions/inefficiencies on production equipment
  • Process production equipment and maintain documentation to support process changes
  • Perform standard and scheduled preventative maintenance tasks as outlined by the Maintenance Manager
  • Evaluate operator checklist and comments prior to performing preventative maintenance to ensure all causes for production inefficiencies are addressed and corrected
  • Ensure equipment is clean and in showroom condition after preventative maintenance is performed
  • Perform changeovers with limited downtime
  • Use proper power tool equipment needed to complete jobs in the shop safely
  • Perform building maintenance as directed by management
  • Support of equipment installation, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications
  • Coordinate with the Production Manager as it relates to production equipment training and employee development while providing suggestions for training topics
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED/High School Certification (Technical School Certification preferred)
  • 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience in plastics technology or a similar technical area
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Working knowledge of computer systems (including MS Office and SAP)
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Strong mechanical, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, time management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
  • Ability to drive a forklift and achieve certification
  • Flexible availability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends as business demands
  • Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds
