About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at KW Property Management & Consulting. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties and providing exceptional service to our tenants and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Coordinate and execute maintenance service requests, work with the Property Manager to prioritize key initiatives and duties, and collaborate with the Building Maintenance Lead on quality of deliverables and addressing bandwidth-related concerns.
  • Service Coordination: Collect bids for work in the building from contract and 3rd party service providers, ensure quality of their work and projects, and work on-call rotation.
  • Communication and Escalation: Serve as an escalation point for tenants/residents, proactively communicate with the Property Manager about service-related issues, and meet with the Property Manager for follow-up on outstanding service tickets.
  • Leadership and Development: Contribute to leadership and people development by delivering on objectives, seeking out key areas of improvement, exceeding performance metrics, and demonstrating a team-focused approach.
Requirements
  • Tenant/Residential Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with tenants and residents.
  • Problem-Solving and Organization Skills: Strong problem-solving and organization skills to manage time around multiple demands and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to frequently move about to accomplish tasks, communicate with others, and operate machinery and power tools, as well as occasionally ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in various environments, including noisy, hazardous, and poorly ventilated conditions, and occasionally endure low/high temperatures and outdoor elements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HVAC Certification: Preferred certification in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
  • Parking Equipment Experience: Experience with parking equipment and systems.
  • Chilled Water Systems Experience: Experience with chilled water systems and equipment.
