The Lead Pharmacist is accountable to the Director of Operations.
Under general supervision, this role ensures adherence to all relevant laws and regulations for a designated pharmacy; accurately dispenses prescribed medications; may oversee the professional, paraprofessional, and support staff; and performs related responsibilities as necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Guarantee that all prescriptions are processed, filled, and dispensed with precision, efficiency, and within budgetary constraints.
- Maintain optimal staffing levels to ensure seamless pharmacy operations while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Develop and mentor supervisory staff, providing guidance and direction as necessary.
- Identify and assess technological advancements that could enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee workflow; pinpoint areas of concern and implement process enhancements.
- Contribute to pharmacy operations by performing pharmacist duties as required.
- Collaborate with the President to address conflicting priorities (budget versus service level, etc.).
- Work alongside the Director of Operations and customer service to resolve service-related issues promptly, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding of new business operations.
- Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as necessary.
Foster a positive experience for consumers and clinic partners while building strong relationships to proactively address their needs.
Ensure that pharmacy operations and team members comply with policies and standards in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Responsible for the pharmacy's financial performance and identifying growth opportunities.
Inspire, develop, and coach pharmacy staff to ensure they reach their full potential and deliver outstanding service.
Team EnvironmentCreate an engaging workplace that promotes compassion and embodies the organization's core values and culture.
Actively promote recruitment of top talent within the pharmacy.
Review key performance indicators with pharmacy staff to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Conduct workforce and business planning to achieve operational excellence at the site.
Build strong relationships with the community, stakeholders, and clinic partners to ensure all needs are met and to promote the pharmacy business.
Compliance and ImprovementParticipate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies and engage in the Company's Performance Improvement program as requested.Physical Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to organize and plan the activities of subordinates, delegating appropriately.
- Pharmacy Degree and State Licensure.
- Experience in compounding. Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations.
- Two or more years of experience in a leadership role.
- Experience in interviewing and training.
