LPN/LVN Behavioral Health Acute Psych II

At Universal Health Services, we are committed to providing high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in our Behavioral Health Acute Psych II unit.
Responsibilities:- Implement nursing care for assigned patients and assist the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Demonstrate competency in strong basic patient care skills, clerical/courier duties, stocking, transporting, and performing EKG's, phlebotomy, specific patient care duties, and other departmental duties as requested.
- May be floated as needed to treat all diversities.
- Actively demonstrates a passion for patient care while demonstrating service recovery if needed and displays service excellence at all times.
- Follows standard of care as defined within scope of Licensed Vocational Nurse and reflects the American Nurses Association's Code of Ethics for Nurses and the Nurse Practice Act of 2015.
- Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
- Current LVN license issued by Texas Nursing Board.
- Completion of basic arrhythmia module within initial 90 days.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of hire, and maintain throughout employment.
