As a valued member of our team, you will engage with our dedicated research volunteers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the clinical trial process. Your experience in IV placement is crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer IVs and monitor patient care alongside a collaborative team.
  • Deliver medication as necessary to our renal, diabetic, and ESRD participants during their trials.
  • Conduct essential procedures such as vital signs monitoring, ECGs, blood collection, and processing.
  • Ensure volunteer safety during investigational drug dosing in collaboration with medical personnel.
  • Execute clinical procedures in accordance with approved protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in the management and coordination of staff and participants within the Clinical Unit, addressing any operational challenges that arise.
  • Document adverse events and medication details accurately, adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Lead clinical care during emergencies under the guidance of Medical Operations.
  • Provide comprehensive medical care and monitor the health of participants throughout their study involvement.
  • Participate in the collection and management of biological samples.
  • Support the Screening Department with appointment scheduling as needed.
  • Prepare the clinical unit for participant check-ins and study procedures.
  • Enforce clinical unit guidelines with all participants and visitors.
  • Manage inventory of clinical supplies and communicate needs to management.
  • Conduct mock emergency drills and provide training on emergency procedures.
  • Ensure personal development goals are met and maintained.
  • Assume leadership roles when designated.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Paramedic in Minnesota with proficiency in IV placement.
  • Strong team player with effective time management skills.
  • Ability to comply with relevant documentation standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
