A Pediatric Cardiology practice is seeking a dedicated and skilled Bilingual Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, strong organizational abilities, and excellent clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients' overall health and record vital signs and weight.
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and maintain cleanliness. Prepare lists of required medical materials and assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
- Handle front desk responsibilities, including managing phone calls, scheduling patient appointments, and processing insurance prior authorizations.
- Welcome patients and prepare them for examinations, gathering essential information and instructing them on sample collection and testing procedures.
- Maintain and review patient records, documenting test results and examination findings accurately.
- Respond to and direct incoming patient inquiries related to treatment, providing guidance on medications and care instructions.
- Uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a medical assistant, with pediatric experience preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, Practice Management Software, and Electronic Medical Records.
- Experience with NexGen or Athena EMR is advantageous.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Full-time position with 8-hour shifts.
- Monday through Friday.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Administrative Responsibilities:- Appointment scheduling.
- Insurance verification processes.
- Managing phone communications.
- Prior authorization tasks.
- Conducting vital sign assessments.
- Performing EKGs.
- Assisting physicians during patient care.
