Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Management: Lead audit projects from inception to completion. Formulate audit strategies based on a comprehensive understanding of the client's operations and sector, including time allocation and staff assignments. Supervise daily audit activities and prepare audit reports and deliverables.
  • Fieldwork Oversight: Provide continuous guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to foster their professional growth. Act as a role model, review team outputs, and address any challenges that arise.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between the audit team and the client. Communicate effectively with clients to gather essential information for the successful completion of engagements.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage fieldwork and team communications, ensuring all stakeholders are updated on engagement progress, budgetary considerations, and any issues that may occur. Conduct and document work in line with industry and firm standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressive audit experience within a public accounting setting.
  • Robust technical skills to perform tasks in accordance with GAAP and GAAS.
  • Ability to identify accounting challenges, conduct thorough research, and propose effective solutions.
  • Proficient in working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring staff effectively.
  • Familiarity with accounting and auditing software, as well as Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and development.
Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field with a strong focus on accounting.
  • Completion of 150 semester credits and fulfillment of all educational requirements for CPA licensure.
Professional Credentials:
  • Possession of a current and valid CPA license, or actively pursuing licensure by preparing for the state CPA examination.
  • If licensed, maintain good standing with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Required Skills:
  • CPA certification.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an accounting firm.
