We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at Children's Wisconsin - Milwaukee Campus. As a key member of our ER team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in the emergency department, including assessment, medication administration, teaching, wound care, EKG, and other medical procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Participate in unit-specific initiatives to improve patient outcomes, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting open communication, respect, and teamwork among colleagues.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department setting, with a focus on pediatric care.
- Previous experience with pediatrics and a strong understanding of pediatric emergency medicine.
- Level I Trauma experience is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of patients and a strong focus on teamwork and communication.
