Job Title: Faculty Pool Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Faculty Pool Instructor to join our team at the Coast Community College District. As a Faculty Pool Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses and contribute to the academic success of our students.

Job Summary:

The Coast Community College District is a multi-college district that includes Coastline Community College, Golden West College, and Orange Coast College. We are committed to providing high-quality education and training to our students, and we are seeking a Faculty Pool Instructor who shares our vision and values.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach a variety of courses, including transfer, general education, and vocational/occupational programs.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students and aligns with the district's goals and objectives.
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, online, and off-campus locations.
  • Maintain accurate records and meet the requirements of the district's assessment and evaluation processes.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay current with best practices in education.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher in the subject area or related field.
  • Valid California Community College instructor credential, appropriate to the subject, per Education Code issued prior to July 1, 1990.
  • Two years of professional experience in teaching or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent community college or lower division teaching experience.
  • Expertise and professional experience in the field of course(s) to be taught.
