About the Job

As a Network Solutions Installer II at MasTec Network Solutions, you will play a critical role in the installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment and networks. Your primary responsibility will be to read and interpret installation specifications for various construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling of central office equipment
  • Identify and requisition parts necessary to establish low- and high-level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and provision for grounding
  • Create comprehensive and accurate installation specifications and equipment requirements to fulfill customer orders
  • Create or correct location records, drawings, bill of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect additions and modifications to customers' location (central office) because of installation or engineering activities
  • Review installation specifications
Requirements

  • You have the ability to learn customer specifications and standards
  • You have excellent communication skills; speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; demonstrate group presentation skills
  • You have the ability to learn time management while working on customer sites
  • You possess dependability – Follow instructions, respond to management direction; keep commitments
  • Experience in handling power tools
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs
  • Must be willing and available to travel away from home for several weeks at a time (up to 75%)
