Job SummaryWe seek an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Chicagoland South Suburbs area. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing basic general repair and building maintenance in residential homes and other day program facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assessing repair requirements, including cost estimates and completion times
- Performing simple carpentry tasks using hand tools
- Exterior maintenance and occasional landscaping work
- Drywall repair and patching, priming, and painting
- Furniture moving, changing light bulbs, cleaning, and storing maintenance tools
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of carpentry and general maintenance
- The ability to use hand tools effectively
- Experience in exterior maintenance and landscaping is an asset
- Drywall repair and painting skills are preferred
- Physical ability to perform the required tasks
