Job Summary

As a Banquet Captain with Compass Group Careers, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of events and functions by coordinating catering staff schedules, preparing and serving food, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Determine workload requirements from catering orders, meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements, and address last-minute changes and resolve problems.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner, demonstrating a complete understanding of menu items.
  • Food Preparation and Service: Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions, help staff set up rooms to desired specifications, assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations, serve food and beverages to guests, and return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
  • Sanitation and Maintenance: Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils, and ensure proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.
Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license may be required. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
