We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon to join our team at ProLocums. As a General Surgeon, you will be responsible for performing a variety of surgical procedures, including gallbladder removals, appendectomies, and chest tube placements.
Responsibilities- Perform surgical procedures, including gallbladder removals, appendectomies, and chest tube placements
- Assess patients and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in the field of general surgery
- Active PA State License or Licensure
- DEA Required: Yes
- Board Status: Board Certified, Board Eligible
- Required Procedures: Gallbladders, PICC lines, appendectomy, chest tubes
- Required Certifications: ACLS
- Minimum Years Experience (if applicable): 1
This is a full-time position with a typical day involving inpatient hospital rounding and emergency surgeries. The site does not have robotics, and the average volume for surgeries is 0-4 cases per day. The average rounds inpatient are 0-10 patients a day, and the average admissions while on call are 0-5. The hospital is a low-volume facility.
