About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at Textron. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Purchasing and Sourcing

  • Purchase materials from suppliers at the lowest cost while ensuring quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
  • Study market trends, interview vendors, and recommend sources of supply to meet business needs.

Contract Management

  • Solicit and analyze quotations to satisfy all requirements of the authorizing source documentation.
  • Monitor outstanding orders to ensure timely deliveries and follow up on orders to expedite shipment and delivery as needed.

Inventory Management

  • Negotiate for any adjustments resulting from price analysis, discrepant materials, surplus or obsolete materials, contract terminations, or purchase order cancellations.
  • Obtain certifications of delivery and conduct item delivery validation.

Financial Management

  • Check and improve payment of invoices.

Record Keeping and Compliance

  • Develop and maintain necessary records and files for compliance purposes.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office application skills with emphasis in MS Excel.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
