We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Associate Attorney to enhance our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background with 3-5 years of experience in Securities/FINRA, Professional Liability Defense, and Civil Litigation. A valid California bar admission is essential for success in this challenging role.
Compensation:
$105,000 - $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in various legal proceedings.
- Conduct thorough research and prepare legal documents and pleadings.
- Manage discovery processes and assist in legal transactions.
- Engage in mediations, hearings, and depositions as necessary.
- Interact with clients to resolve issues related to their cases.
- Implement best practices in client case management.
- Evaluate findings and devise strategies for case presentations.
- Ensure timely completion of reports and projects in line with client and partner expectations.
- Accurately record billable hours in accordance with firm policies.
Qualifications:
- Strong comprehension of complex legal matters and principles.
- Familiarity with federal and state civil procedure rules.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional research and proofreading capabilities.
- Up-to-date knowledge of legal procedures and developments.
- Proficient in using legal technology, including LexisNexis and time-billing software.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong legal writing and research abilities.
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed based on workload.
