Automation Robotic Programmer Job Description

Greenheck Group is a leading manufacturer of commercial HVAC products, and we're seeking an experienced Automation Robotic Programmer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and write code to ensure our robot-based automated solutions meet customer standards.
  • Participate in regular project meetings to ensure automation projects and timelines are progressing as planned.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, analyze requirements, and deliver high-quality automation solutions that drive efficiency and productivity.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • 60% of the time: Write robotic programs for automation projects, including medium to high complexity programs.
  • 25% of the time: Write PLC-HMI programs using various software packages, including medium to high complexity programs.
  • 10% of the time: Work with IT Application developers on program integrations, travel to Greenheck Group facilities to install machines and train personnel, and provide programming assistance.
  • 5% of the time: Design medium complexity machine guarding strategies, power up and commission machines, and integrate hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in automation programming for a level I role.
  • Good working knowledge of ABB Robot Studio and/or Fanuc ROBOGUIDE robotic programming software.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions in various formats.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and general computer literacy.

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment. Sedentary work with occasional need for walking short distances.
