About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support our warehouse operations at Autonomy Staffing. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of construction materials and supplies within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and other equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and store materials in designated areas to ensure efficient retrieval and shipping. Track and manage inventory levels, reporting shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare materials and supplies for delivery or distribution to job sites, ensuring orders are accurate and properly labeled.
  • Receiving and Inspection: Assist with the receiving of inbound shipments, verifying the accuracy of deliveries, and inspecting for damages.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by adhering to housekeeping and safety guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse or construction supply environment is preferred but not required. Willingness to train motivated candidates.
  • Skills：
    • Proficient in the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team.
    • Physical ability to lift, move, and carry heavy materials regularly.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Capable of working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
