We are seeking a skilled Cutting Machine Operator to join our production team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating machinery to cut out parts to a specified size and shape, performing scoring and face cutting on various materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate cutting machines to produce high-quality products
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition through routine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Perform sharpness checks on cutting edges and make necessary adjustments
  • Insert and align dies, ensuring proper setup for production runs
  • Adjust guides, fingers, gauge pins, and grippers for optimal die cutting performance
  • Run proof samples and obtain supervisor's approval before proceeding with production
  • Measure and inspect products for conformance to specifications
  • Start and operate cutting machines, adjusting speed and feeder settings as needed
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in die cutting or a related field
  • Familiarity with printing shop operations and practices
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per yearPhysical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and lifting up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is generally low to moderate.
