Nursing Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Vidor Health & Rehab.

Key Responsibilities:

• Augment floor staffing as needed to ensure optimal resident care.
• Participate in Performance Improvement and Infection Control initiatives to drive quality and safety.
• Lead and manage nursing staff through effective hiring, training, evaluation, and delegation of duties.
• Review and ensure accurate resident charting and procedure documentation.
• Develop and implement resident care plans in collaboration with physicians, medical directors, and outside consultants.
• Ensure timely availability of necessary equipment, supplies, and resources for staff.
• Conduct thorough assessments and maintain a strong knowledge of infection control procedures.

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Nurse in good standing with the State Nursing Board.
• Significant technical experience and demonstrated leadership/management skills.
• Geriatric nursing background and restorative care philosophy.
• Excellent professional skills, including assessment, hands-on care, communication, and organization.
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations.
