Position Overview

The Cath Lab Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular department, focusing on diagnostic and interventional procedures. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and patient care skills.

Certification Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, RCIS, WA Radiology License
Job Responsibilities
  • Role: Cath Lab Technician
  • Shift Type: Day Shifts
  • Daily Caseload: 12-20 cases per technician
  • Procedural Focus: Includes Diagnostic, Emergent, and known intervention cardiac cases.
  • Technical Skills: Responsibilities include performing Impella, Balloon Pump, CTO, Atherectomy, Structural Heart procedures (TAVR, Watchman), PFO, cardiomems, EKOS, loop recorders, and occasional pacemaker placements.
  • Contract Hours: Guaranteed 36 or 40 hours
  • Schedule Flexibility: Open to accommodating block scheduling
Experience Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years required
  • Traveler Acceptance: First-time travelers are welcome
  • Skills: Proficiency in scrub and circulate techniques is essential
  • Preferred Skills: Monitoring and EKG skills
  • Required Experience: Balloon angioplasty, PCI, Stents, Thrombectomy, Impella insertion, Left/right heart catheterization, Rotablader, Paracentesis, Hemodynamic Monitoring
  • Preferred Experience: Watchman Procedures, Septal Closure, Pacemaker/Defibrillator device placement, TAVI/TAVR procedures

  • Weekend Requirement: Yes
  • On-call Requirement: Yes; approximately 5-7 days per month
