About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Services Representative to join our team at Berman Skin Institute. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and seamless experience for our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and registration
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate patient care
- Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Verify health plan eligibility and process payments
- Manage multiple phone lines and respond to patient inquiries
- Perform basic accounting tasks, including daily deposits and credit card payments
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, and instructions to patients
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care
- Inventory and order office supplies
- Assist with medical emergencies and ensure proper documentation
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in an outpatient setting, preferably in a medical office
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Keyboarding skills and experience with computer software and equipment
- Availability to work Tuesday-Saturday in our Placerville and Cameron Park locations
