LB&B is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to support our contract at the Philip Philbin Federal Building in Fitchburg, MA. The successful candidate will receive an hourly pay increase based on job classification, qualifications, and duties. The job classification/qualifications/duties are as follows:
**Job Classifications:**
* H.V.A.C Level I: $38.44
* H.V.A.C Level II: $42.28
* H.V.A.C Level III: $45.18
* H.V.A.C Level IV: $48.08
**Qualifications:**
* One of three listed certifications (NATE, HVAC Excellence, UA Star)
* EPA Universal CFC certification
* GSA approval
**Duties:**
* HVAC Responsibilities
* Pursue/receive HVAC local/state journeyperson grade license
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on large commercial heating and air conditioning equipment. They must be competent to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, chillers, hot water heating systems, domestic water plumbing systems, air handlers, VAV components, and other various HVAC equipment and building systems. General maintenance knowledge of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is also required. A High School Diploma or G.E.D is required, as well as Universal EPA or CFC certification. Technical training in HVAC is highly desired. Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License or HVAC local/state journeyperson grade license is required.
