We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities- Consult with physicians and nurses to develop and implement respiratory care plans for patients.
- Assess patients and evaluate the appropriateness and quality of respiratory care provided.
- Review and collect relevant clinical data to inform respiratory care decisions.
- Communicate changes in respiratory care plans with other healthcare team members.
- Provide education to patients, students, and colleagues on respiratory care topics.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as oximetry measurement, capnography, and pulmonary function testing.
- Respond to emergency situations and assume responsibility for airway management and ventilation.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care or within six months of hire.
- Licensed as an RCP in the State of Iowa.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, with critical care experience preferred.
- Maintain current BLS, NRP, and Mandatory Reporter certification.
