About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Engineer to join our New Shepard Avionics team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our team, you will design and develop high-performance avionics hardware for various flight vehicles, working closely with our rocket program and technical leads to drive requirements definition, modeling, analysis, design, test, and production release of on-vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance FPGA solutions for use in highly integrated systems
  • Develop and implement HDL designs using Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL
  • Author technical documentation for complex electronics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive requirements definition and design
  • Participate in flight support activities and ensure safe and reliable operation of on-vehicle systems
Requirements
  • B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience with FPGA/ASIC design and FPGA tool flow in a Linux environment
  • Experience designing and developing high-performance FPGA solutions for use in highly integrated systems
  • Full product life cycle development experience, from requirements development through final release
  • Experience with Modelsim, Questasim simulators, and Synopsys tools for design
