Job Summary

The Emergency Room Technician (ERT) at Westfields Hospital & Clinic plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department. As a key member of our team, you will perform routine treatments, assist with patient specimens, and document patient information accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Provide timely and compassionate personal care to patients, adhering to established policies and procedures.
Maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staff while ensuring confidentiality and patient privacy.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently, demonstrating proper body mechanics during lifting, pulling, and pushing.
Apply orthopedic appliances correctly, including ace wraps, ankle splints, and crutch fitting.
Employ sterile technique principles for tray and instrument setup.
Demonstrate competency in inserting urinary catheters, IVs, and blood collection with an IV start.

Requirements

Completion of National EMS program
Current EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, or CNA license in the state of Wisconsin
BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with EPIC computer system
Two years of clinical experience in an inpatient or community medical emergency setting
