Job Summary
The Police Officer will provide security for patients, visitors, staff, and property by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining visitor control, and investigating irregularities. The successful candidate will provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff, promoting a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to maintain security and control
- Investigate irregularities and incidents
- Provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
- Collaborate with the Campus Police & Public Safety department to promote a safe and secure environment
Requirements
- 2 years of law enforcement experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in police science or related field preferred
- Certified by the NC Training and Standards Commission or basic law enforcement training within the last 12 months required; certification by the NC Training and Standards Commission within 1 year of hire preferred
Work Schedule
The Police Officer will work a B squad shift from 6pm to 6am, with every other weekend requirement.
